Member's Show - Feb. 26-March 27, 2015.  This is a large acrylic on canvas depicting Spring near the Mason Dixon Line.   A plein air painting, I originally called this "Towards Chambers Rock Road, PA." as that is the view from my studio in "The Wedge, DE".

March 2015

I have been painting quite a bit lately.  Thank goodness I can concentrate on what I love to do, because the weather has been terrible.  Spring will be most welcome.

I am painting early spring landscapes and ignoring the snow covered grass.

2015 News

I have been painting and framing and delivering works to several art galleries and art centers, some in Delaware, and one in PA.

Three paintings have been hanging in the Newark Arts Alliance juried show and that ends Friday Feb 27, 2015. The new show will then be put up the following week.
I was pleased to have sold a large mixed media painting at the Newark opening.

At the Chester County Art Association in PA, I have had three juried works hanging, since the beginning of 2015.

News:
 My new website at weebly.com has taken the place of my Wynn Breslin.com website which, unfortunately is still listed on Google search.

 Please look for the Weebly website in Google instead.

 I hope you will take a look at the paintings in galleries on my website there and make some comments --at least let me know that you have seen it!  
 I am learning to navigate my new Weebly.com website, so I will be changing paintings and information often now. 

Please check back, I will be adding more soon.  Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the new website.   Look for other info on Google.

 I am learning how to do Facebook, and have also uploaded photos of other paintings--oils, watercolors, mixed media, on that page.

It's a New Year. New paintings, new projects.

 I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season.

  The Holidays are great, but I soon found my mind wandering at parties and my eyes studying the snow shadows and snow patterns on trees. I have been happy to get the brushes off the shelf.

  I can't help it, I see paintings in my mind. Time to begin work again and get the ideas on canvas or paper.
 
I have started a Professional Page on Facebook.  The name of the page is "Wynn Breslin Studio Galleries." Take a look sometime.

 You will see paintings and some personal photos, and comments by others.
 I will also add more to my blog as I finish new work in oil, watercolor and acrylic.

So many of you either responded or attended my show, that I am calling it a huge success.
It is always wonderful to see familiar faces, as well as new folks walking into the Breslin Studio Gallery.  I enjoyed your company. Remember: you are encouraged to pass on the invitations and info to friends and family. 

 "The Wedge" paintings, large and small were the favorite works, and they sold quickly. 
 There are a few " Wedge" seasonal paintings left, some small and some large. There are a few VERY LARGE for homes or offices with huge walls left.
  Not to worry, there are many framed watercolor, oil, acrylic pieces still available.  If you like Maine, you will see seascapes and landscapes painted to evoke those memorable moments and moods, too.  
 
There will not be another sale in 2013.

 You will be able to view my work when the time comes for  "Open Studio Days", which has been an annual event since 1976.  The Holiday Shows are not "annual" shows, due to many factors, especially weather.

  My website is still up, so you may want to have a look at some of those paintings, although many are sold now.(I do not know how to take them off that site yet.)  www.wynnbreslin.com

An Autumn-Winter Holiday Show is rare for me.  This will be a large show which will include a retrospective of landscapes and florals as well as mini (4x5)paintings. All work is framed and will be priced for holiday giving.

 

New this year - WALL SCULPTURE .  For the first time I am including wall sculpture with horse themes, abstracts, and a prize winning ceramic wall hanging.
